Tithing Settlement

Brothers and sisters,

Bishop Smith invites all members of the Great Hills ward to meet with him for tithing declaration interviews beginning Sunday, November 2. 

Please use this link to schedule your appointment. Families should select one time slot and, if possible, the entire family should attend. 

Sunday slots will be in person at the church. Thursday slots will be virtual via a Google Meet link you will receive after signing up.

This is an opportunity to confirm contribution amounts and better understand the principle of tithing.

The Giving Machine:

Once again, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints invites the world to celebrate and commemorate the birth and life of Jesus Christ by encouraging people to be more purposeful in performing small and simple acts of kindness for others. One way to do this is to visit the Light the World Giving Machine (texasgivingmachine.org/austin). This year, the Giving Machine will be located at The Crossover (1717 Scottsdale Drive in Cedar Park) between November 18 and December 7.

Five local charities and two international charities will be represented in our Giving Machine at The Crossover. Two of the local charities are located within our stake.  We hope you will visit the Giving Machine and bring along family and friends to share the experience.

After visiting the Giving Machine, we invite you to take the four-mile drive to the Austin Temple site and experience the spirit of this sacred place. A temporary Visitors Center is open during the day to welcome you and your friends. Arrangements can be made for evening visits as well.

Let’s help Light the World in Central Texas from November 18 to December 7, 2025.

Join us in sharing your testimony through music this holiday season!  Choir rehearsals will resume next Sunday, November 9, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the chapel.

Thanksgiving Rehearsal Dates: 11/9, 11/16, 11/23 (8:00 a.m. performance day)

Christmas Rehearsal Dates: 11/30, 12/7, 12/14 (8:00 a.m. performance day)

 All are welcome—bring a friend and join us as we worship through music!!

Racine Trail Chapel - 7:00 pm - Activity days will be on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month at 7 pm

Upcoming Single Adult Activities:  

There is a Come, Follow Me study group that meets on Thursdays at the 2111 Parker Lane building.  Singles Adults all over Austin are invited to attend. It starts at 7:30 PM and many of us go out for dinner afterwards.

There is also a GroupMe chat where activities are posted. If anyone is interested in getting that link they can contact me at jessgrosek@yahoo.com.

Meeting and Feeding the Missionaries

Please feed our missionaries if you are able.  When you connect to the calendar, you will see two tabs, one for each set.  You may choose to feed either the elders or sisters, or both.   Here's the link to their dinner calendar. 

You have several options: feed them in your home, have them pick up the food from you, or give them a gift card. Thanks for your support.

Note: If you are a single man feeding the sisters, there needs to be another woman in attendance. (Same goes for teaching lessons to a single man.)  If you're a single woman feeding the elders, there needs to be another man in attendance.
